How this rescue goes

Lift the scruffy ball out of the carrier and into warm, soapy water. Rub the fur until the stiffness is gone and the water rinses clear. Somewhere in there a pair of ears gives the secret away.

Dry your new pet with a towel, then with a hair dryer on low and a grown-up nearby, brushing as you go. Add the collar and the clip, fill in the adoption certificate, and the rescue is complete.

Washable Pet

My daughter has 3 of these Scruffaluvs: dark pink bunny, light pink kitty, and now this blue puppy. The blue one isn't as nice as the others. It's fur is... scraggly and rough in comparison, plus its shorter. Its definitely not as cute (in my opinion). I added a few pumps of human conditioner to soften it, but it only helped a bit. It takes a LONG time to dry. You have to squeeze the life out of it, then use a blow dryer after. Even then, it seemingly stays damp. But that's not a big deal for us, because my kid keeps tossing it in the tub lol. I found it to be pricy for what it is, but my daughter really enjoys Scruffaluvs, so I consider the purchas to be worth it. I do appreciate that it comes with a hard plastic carrier for the pet & its accessories. Would I buy it again? Maybe if my daughter REALLY wanted me to. But probably not the blue one. I posted a picture of what is included in this set, along with a comparison photo of the color/pet options.

Fun surprise factor, great reaction from my daughter

The mystery/reveal aspect made this way more exciting than a regular plush — she loved not knowing which pet she’d get until it “grew” out of the packaging. Plush quality is soft and well-made, not flimsy like some surprise toy lines can be. Good size for a kid to actually play with and carry around, not just display. The whole unboxing experience kept her entertained way longer than a standard toy would, and she’s continued playing with it well after the initial surprise wore off, which isn’t always the case with novelty toys. Great option for a birthday or just a fun surprise gift — the reveal moment alone made it worth it.

5 stars for the experience alone. My daughter loved it and now her sister wants one too. She has had it a couple weeks now and still carries it everywhere with her so I say its a win for sure! I do wish it was a little softer fur but the stuffy is good quality. 👍 we did not sit there and blow dry it because that would have taken forever but we put it in the dryer and they loved watching her dry through the dryer door!
